The village of Mullion is the largest on the Lizard Peninsula and offers a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, 1.6km south of the village is the picturesque harbour of Mullion Cove which was built in the 1890s to protect the fishing boats from the powerful westerly storms. Mullion Cove and Mullion Island, an uninhabited island which is home to many seabirds are now owned by the National Trust.
