Lanhydrock is a magnificent 17th C mansion set in the Fowey Valley and is one of England’s grandest country houses. It was the home of the Agar-Robartes family until the National Trust took it over in 1953. There are more than 50 rooms to explore and you can see the contrasts in the life of the servants ‘downstairs’ and the elegant family rooms ‘upstairs’. The gardens are delightful all year, as well as the ancient woodlands and tranquil riverside paths there are cycle trails for all of the family and bike hire is available.
